Eros Bound VI, originally planned for Valentine's weekend 2012, has been postponed. While we genuinely enjoy presenting this event annually
for the mid-Missouri bdsm community and surrounding areas and recognize the importance of providing affordable education consistently here at home,
several factors need to be addressed before resuming production of this event: ♥In recent years Eros Bound simply has not served our local community. In 2011 attendees who traveled more than 100 miles one-way for Eros Bound outnumbered our own community members more than 3:1. Little more than half of our own active membership turned out for Eros Bound V. ♥Eros Bound has always been, from a financial standpoint, a "break even" undertaking. We're happy with that. But increases in venue rental costs have forced us for several years in a row to seek significant pre-investment from one or more members in order to be able to hold the event. In today's economy that is a burden we cannot fairly continue to ask of our membership. ♥Our early plan of slowly growing Eros Bound from year to year until it is sustainable as a weekend-stay event has been counterproductive. Adding more and more classes and other activities is, at this point, merely making for too long a day, especially for the vast majority of our guests who commute several hours each way to take part. Thank you for understanding, and for your continued interest in and support of CEPE's commmunity education programs. We're not going anywhere, and Eros Bound will return soon. |
