CEPE Playspace Rules
Posted Rules may be subject to change when used at certain events, to incorporate a venue's regulations. Rules are in force from the stated beginning time until the stated end time of the party.

1. All decisions made by the Dungeon Monitor (DM) are final. If the DM directs some activity to be modified or stopped it shall be done immediately. Failure to do so may result in being required to leave for the duration of the event. If after a person has complied with the DM's directions they feel that the DM acted inappropriately they may discuss it with the Head DM. DMs can be identified by an orange sash.
2. Privacy. Any information about the attendees of any CEPE event and/or their activities is to be held in strict confidence. No play may take place outside the event space.
3. Harassment. CEPE will not tolerate harassment of its members by any person or persons; violators will be required to leave the event immediately and may be banned from attending CEPE events in the future. Individuals who feel they are being harassed should report such activities to the DM in the area or the Head DM immediately.
4. Consent. All participants shall respect the right of others to express their views, and to not participate in an activity or discussion. Participants are responsible for obtaining consent before making physical contact with another person. Only safe, sane, and consensual activities are permitted at CEPE events. The official safe word is "SAFE WORD."
5. Safety Zones. Participants and observers are reminded to be aware of the need for unoccupied space around all play areas to prevent accidental injury.
6. Photography. No video, still or audio recording or photographic equipment may be used within the event space, including still cameras and recording devices in cell phones, unless expressly permitted for a specific event and with the written consent of each person recorded.
7. Alcohol and Smoking. Use of alcohol or tobacco products in the playspace is not permitted. Any attendee appearing to be inebriated, under the influence of illegal drugs, or in possession of illegal drugs will be required to leave immediately and for the duration of the event. Determining inebriation or other violation of this rule is at the sole discretion of the DM.
8. Respect. All members and guests of CEPE agree to respect other participants' properties and play areas and to refrain from conversation near any play area while in use. If a member or guest has a question or concern about an activity, it should be saved for after the activity or brought to the attention of the DM. Interrupting another participant's activity is appropriate only as a lifesaving measure and only if a DM is not available.
9. Edge Play. To minimize unnecessary intervention, participants who intend to engage in "edge play" (takedowns, blade play, historical role play, breath play, carotid artery play, fire play, etc.) should inform the DM prior to the activity, so the concerns of other participants can be anticipated and compliance with event and venue rules can be assured. Blood, urine, and scat play are not allowed. Any edge play may be disallowed at the DM's sole discretion.
10. Wax, Food and other Messy Play. These will be limited to a designated area determined by the DM.
11. Sex. No oral-genital, anal-genital, or genital-genital contact, or exchange of bodily fluids of any kind, is permitted at any CEPE event. Insertable toys (dildos, plugs, sounds, etc.) may not be used.
12. Gags. Any player who is gagged must have a drop object for use as a safeword.
13. Electrical Play. Electrical play shall be limited to a designated area determined by the Dungeon Monitor. AC power can only be drawn from a working Ground Fault Circuit Interrupt (GFCI) outlet.
14. Suspension Play. Equipment and support points for suspension must be visually inspected and approved by the DM prior to this type of play.
15. Cleanup. All participants are responsible for cleaning and disinfecting their play areas before and immediately after use, and to share responsibility for cleanup of the common areas of the event space. Supplies are provided.
16. Solicitation. Prostitution, illicit solicitation, or negotiation for material compensation of any kind for personal services is not permitted. Violators will be required to leave immediately and for the duration of the event.
17. Guns and Weapons. Firearms are not permitted in the event space at any time. Other weapons may be excluded from use or display at the DM's sole discretion.
